Truly Matters.

in everyday life.
Measuring Outcomes
At Abilities Blossom Foundation, success is not defined by how many services a child receives, how many sessions are completed, or how many programs are delivered.
What matters is whether a child is making meaningful progress in everyday life.
The Abilities Blossom Independence Model™ is designed to begin with an understanding of each child's individual abilities, needs, circumstances, and priorities. From that starting point, meaningful goals can be established together with families and professionals, creating a clear basis for monitoring progress over time.
We aim to look beyond activity and focus on changes that matter—such as communication, learning, functional abilities, participation, emotional well-being, family confidence, and increasing independence.
Progress will not look the same for every child. For one child, it may mean communicating a need more effectively. For another, participating more independently at school, developing a daily living skill, building social confidence, or preparing for further education, training, employment, or community life.
Regular review helps us understand what is working, where additional support may be needed, and when a strategy should evolve.
This creates a continuous process of accountability and improvement:
Measurement is not about comparing one child with another. It is about understanding each child's progress from their own starting point and using that knowledge to make better decisions for what comes next.
We do not measure how much we do. We measure whether what we do is helping children move toward greater independence.
