Abilities Blossom Foundation was created because
two fathers refused to accept that reality.
Founded by Mahmoud Mahrous and Waleed El Nawasany, our foundation was born not from a business idea, but from years of personal experience, determination, and an unwavering belief that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Today, Abilities Blossom Foundation is a registered Egyptian nonprofit organization (Registration No. 8071), licensed by the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity, committed to building a new model of integrated care that combines education, healthcare, family empowerment, and innovation under one mission:
Helping every child achieve the highest possible level of independence.
Two Journeys. One Purpose.
Mahmoud's Story
My son was born with a non-functioning lung and severe oxygen deprivation. His survival was a miracle.
Years of hospitals, therapy centers, schools, and specialists taught me how fragmented and overwhelming the system can be.
Through research, learning, and lived experience, I discovered the powerful connection between nutrition, neuro-development, education, and early intervention.
These experiences shaped my lifelong mission: no parent should walk this path alone, and no child deserves to be denied the opportunity to thrive.
Waleed's Story
My son was born with five holes in his heart and spent his first months fighting for survival.
Developmental challenges emerged later. Conflicting opinions left our family confused and searching.
We found hope in a center that helped, and later an inclusive school where he flourished—only to see that support weaken over time.
That experience changed my life. Rather than continuing to search for the right place, I chose to help build one.
The Turning Point
The problem was never our children.
The problem was the system surrounding them.
Families were forced to move between doctors, therapists, schools, and specialists without coordination. Services were fragmented. Opportunities were unequal. Too many children were underestimated.
We realised we could no longer wait for the system to change. We decided to build the future ourselves. That decision became Abilities Blossom Foundation.
